Dodge Durango SRT, a wolf in sheep’s clothing

October 27th, 2017 by

With the naked eye it’s difficult to see just what the 2018 Dodge Durango SRT is. At the 14th annual Carspondent.com Active Lifestyle Vehicle of the Year awards competition in Chandler, AZ, it was called a wolf in sheep’s clothing after winning the Luxury Family category.

With just a passing look at the Durango SRT you don’t see the power or speed of the fastest and most capable three-row SUV. You will not see the 475-horsepower and 470 pounds-feet of torque from the 392-cubic-inch HEMI® V-8 engine, a National Hot Rod Association-certified quarter-mile time of 12.9 seconds and a 0-60 mph time of 4.4 seconds.

Inside are leather and suede seats with available performance Demonic Red Laguna leather seating and new carbon-fiber trim.

When you drive the car like the panel of automotive journalists, and professional athletes did in Arizona, it will not take long to understand what the Durango SRT is, one of the year’s best SUVs.
